This study examines church leadership in border island regions, specifically in Sangir Talaud, which is characterized by fragmented geography, limited infrastructure, and strong communal culture. The aim of this research is to develop a Contextual Adaptive Servant Leadership (CASL) model that aligns with the local context. This study employs a qualitative approach with a contextual case study design. Data were collected through in depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that church leadership in Sangir Talaud faces multidimensional adaptive challenges, including global, structural, and socio-cultural aspects. The CASL model is found to be relevant; however, it requires contextual refinement. This study proposes an island-based church leadership model consisting of four key dimensions: spiritual-communal servanthood, context-sensitive adaptive discernment, embedded community engagement, and resilient island community building. This model contributes both theoretically and practically to the development of adaptive, contextual, and resilient church leadership.
