CONTEXTUAL LEADERSHIP STYLE IN RESPONDING TO THE RAPID CURRENT OF GLOBALIZATION (APPLICATION IN THE CHURCH)

The church must move forward in light of the spiritual values brought about by globalization, which have transformed society, culture, and technology. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive-analytical methods to analyze the phenomenon of contextual leadership as a church strategy in responding to the tide of globalization. This study also employs a literature review as a data collection method.
The findings indicate that the church is often trapped in rigid, traditional leadership patterns that are unresponsive to the fast-paced dynamics of the times. Contextual leadership is the key strategy for the church to remain relevant. The Servant Leadership style successfully combines technological advancements with humanitarian principles.Transformational leadership leverages technology and digital transformation to drive constructive improvement and maximize an organization’s potential. The situational leadership style is capable of assessing current circumstances or conditions. The conclusion of this article emphasizes that the implementation of contextual church governance is a crucial aspect of a relevant strategy for navigating the rapid pace of globalization.
